Carehood addresses various community needs, including but not limited to:

• Assistance in monitoring your home during travel.
• Support during medical emergencies.
• Reporting incidents of burglary.
• Seeking recommendations for local service providers such as plumbers.
• Notification of suspicious activities within the area.
• Searching for lost pets.
• Finding jogging partners.

Designed to connect neighbors, Carehood enables users to engage with one another when they need assistance or companionship.

What is a Carehood?

A Carehood represents a designated area within the app where members can communicate, share information, and post images. In cases of emergencies, notifications can be sent to alert neighbors. Each Carehood is linked to a specific geographic location, promoting localized interaction.

Any user can create a Carehood. New members can explore existing Carehoods on an interactive map within the app. To join a Carehood, potential members must receive approval from an existing member. There are no restrictions on how many Carehoods one can create or join; all members have equal standing regardless of their founding status.

Carehood proves to be a versatile tool, beneficial for various groups and organizations, including:

• Schools
• Walking groups
• Sports teams
• Boat clubs
• Store owners
• Parenting groups
• And more

The application is compatible with most smartphones, tablets, and web browsers, making it accessible for a wide audience.

Please note that while Carehood enhances community support, it is not intended to replace traditional emergency services. Rather, it serves as a supplementary resource that can facilitate quicker assistance from local residents, contributing to an increased sense of safety.

Subscription Information

The Carehood app allows users to download and join one Carehood at no cost. Users may also create multiple Carehoods without incurring charges. For those wishing to join more than one Carehood, an annual subscription is available for $5 USD. This subscription permits access to any number of Carehoods.

The subscription renews automatically unless canceled at least 24 hours before the renewal date. Payment will be processed through your iTunes account upon confirmation of purchase and charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current subscription period. Cancelation of auto-renewal can be managed in the Account Settings following the purchase.
